Once the mold is dried. The edges are free up by slipping a hand into the mold all around the edges. The model is asked to wriggle her belly breaking the suction holding the mold to the body. The mold is carefully removed and placed into a cradle for support. It is inspected and repairs are made prior to casting. The model then is able to shower and dress as the casting begins. Casting must be down within the hour as alginate molds will continue to shrink over time as they dry. Within 24-hours they can shrink to 1/3 their size.
