Once the MoldGel is applied then a wispy fiber is applied into the still tacky MoldGel. Alginate is a very slippery substance and does not even adhere to itself. The shell mold made up of plaster bandages will grab on to the fibers locking the MoldGel to it so the two-piece mold will come off in one piece. The fiber must be applied evenly as lumps will create unacceptable dimples in the mold which are hard to correct.
