Plaster gauze bandages are used in several important ways in lifecasting. By themselves applied on the skin they make a satisfactory mold, but lack the fine detail that alginate molds possess. The second use is to provide a rigid jacket or "shell mold" over the rubbery alginate, as alginate will not maintain its shape when removed.
We offer two qualities of plaster bandage. Gypsona is the premium quality preferred by most experienced lifecasters for their creaminess and smoothness. Though they are a bit more expensive, when quality counts this is the choice to make.
We carry the PoPART Brand of plaster bandages. PoPArt is a medium-to-high quality creamy fast set bandages. When budget is important these are the bandages for you.
